Neeraja Vajrala

Neeraja Vajrala serves as the Director of Microbiology at Siolta Therapeutics since July 2018 and previously held the position of Senior Scientist. Prior to Siolta Therapeutics, Neeraja worked as a Staff Scientist at AOBiome, focusing on developing therapeutics to enhance skin health and manage systemic conditions. Neeraja's earlier experience includes a role as a Research Associate at Oregon State University, where research methodologies were designed to support AOBiome's commercialization efforts, along with a post-doctoral position studying iron uptake in Nitrosomonas europaea. Beginning a career as a Research Assistant at Balaji Foods & Feeds Ltd., Neeraja conducted studies on lysozyme chloride extraction. Neeraja holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Oregon State University, a Master's degree in Biochemistry from Osmania University, and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from Osmania University.
