Robert Kelley is a distinguished expert in nuclear engineering and intelligence with a broad range of experience in various esteemed organizations. Currently serving as a Distinguished Associate Fellow and Associated Senior Research Fellow at SIPRI since March 2010, Kelley also contributes to Jane's IHS and holds a role with the International Verification Consultants Network at VERTIC. Notably, Kelley was Director at the IAEA from 1992 to 2005, overseeing analysis of the Iraq nuclear weapons program. Previous positions include Project Leader for Nuclear Intelligence at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Director of the Remote Sensing Laboratory at Bechtel Nevada. Kelley's earlier career includes managerial roles at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Lawrence Radiation Laboratory, coupled with advanced degrees in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia and Physics from Harvey Mudd College.
