Ravi Mohanka

Ravi Mohanka has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgery. Ravi is currently serving as the Director of Liver Transplant and HPB Surgery at Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre. Prior to this, Ravi Mohanka held the position of Past President at the Liver Transplant Society of India.

Before joining Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre, Ravi Mohanka worked at Global Hospital Mumbai for a significant period, starting in 2014. Ravi held the role of Chief Surgeon and Head of Department, overseeing liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgery. Their tenure at Global Hospital Mumbai lasted until January 2022.

Ravi Mohanka also gained valuable experience at Medanta The Medicity Hospital, where they worked as a Senior Consultant Transplant and Hepatobiliary Surgeon from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they served as a Consultant Surgeon at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital from 2008 to 2010.

Their career started with fellowships at renowned medical centers. Ravi Mohanka completed a Transplant Surgery Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre from 2006 to 2008. Before that, they did a Transplant Surgery Fellowship and a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship in Transplantation at the University of Rochester Medical Center from 2004 to 2006.

Ravi Mohanka's earlier experiences include working as a Registrar in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Multi-Organ Transplant Surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, and as a Senior Medical Officer in Gastro-Intestinal Surgery at Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Center. Ravi began their medical career as a Registrar in General Surgery at Government Medical College and Hospital.

Ravi Mohanka has an extensive education history. Ravi obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from IIT Bombay - Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management in 2017. Additionally, they earned an MBA degree from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School in the same year.

Prior to their MBA programs, Ravi Mohanka pursued a fellowship in Transplant Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh from 2006 to 2008. Ravi also holds a Master of Surgery (MS) degree in General Surgery from Government Medical College and Hospital, Nagpur, which they obtained between 2000 and 2003. Before that, they completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in Medicine at the same institution from 1993 to 1999.

Ravi Mohanka's earlier education includes completing their Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) at Somalwar Khamla, Nagpur from 1991 to 1993. Ravi also attended Sr. Francis De Sales School from 1986 to 1991, where they obtained their Secondary School Certificate (SSC).

In addition to their formal education, Ravi Mohanka obtained a Certificate for Training in Regenerative Medicine from the University of Toronto in 2012.
