Opening its own in-house design department in 1934. It was the first hand-knitting brand to editorially feature in fashion magazines and collaborated with British design icon Mary Quant and other leading knitwear and fashion designers. Sirdar continues to invest in its connection to fashion today, working with up-and-coming designers in the industry as well as maintaining its own in-house design capability.
