Karthikeyan Ponnusamy

Karthikeyan Ponnusamy has a diverse and extensive work experience in software development and architecture. Karthikeyan is currently working as the Chief Software Architect at Sirena Technologies Private Limited, where they design and develops frameworks and applications for humanoids and wheeled robots on Android open source (AOSP). Karthikeyan is also responsible for designing and developing E-Ink based Baggage Tags and ESP32 and Android open source project (AOSP) based Alexa Voice assistants.

Prior to this, Karthikeyan worked as a Senior Software Architect at LIBRE WIRELESS TECHNOLOGIES INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED from 2013 to 2019. In this role, they designed, developed, and maintained LibreSync, a smart speaker platform based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Karthikeyan also implemented Apple's smart home platform, HomeKit, on the LibreSync platform, and worked on various features such as players, synchronous audio, AirPlay, Google Cast, and Alexa voice service. Karthikeyan also worked on a freeRTOS based Alexa Voice Assistant platform.

Before joining LIBRE WIRELESS TECHNOLOGIES INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, Karthikeyan held the position of Senior Software Architect at Microchip Technology Inc. - Part of SMSC Acquisition from 2012 to 2013, and at SMSC - Part of BridgeCo Acquisition from 2011 to 2012. Karthikeyan started their career as a Software Engineer at Kyocera Wireless India Pvt Ltd in 2004, where they designed and developed Native and BREW applications for Kyocera phones and developed frameworks to interact with third-party applications. Karthikeyan was also involved in the design and development of a complete BREW based UI platform for Kyocera phones.

In addition to these roles, Karthikeyan has gained valuable experience at Roamware India Pvt Ltd, Symbian Software India Pvt Ltd, and Sirena Technologies Private Limited. Their work involves designing and developing various software solutions and platforms, working on performance regressions and advanced development projects, and contributing to the success of each organization they have been a part of.

Karthikeyan Ponnusamy obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Bharathiar University in the years 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Prema Matriculation School, but no degree or field of study information is available for that period.
