Derek Thomson is a highly experienced Master Carpenter and Craftsman with a diverse portfolio spanning multiple roles in the film and construction industries. Currently, at Powerhouse Entertainment Inc., Derek specializes in set design and construction for major projects such as the Louis Vuitton fashion show and Capital One commercials. In addition to working with various production companies as a Production Assistant, Derek has been instrumental in location scouting, set design, and prop building for numerous television shows. As the owner of 1 Treehouse and Loneframer Construction, Derek has designed and built over 5,000 structures, including custom treehouses and residential homes, showcasing a commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative design.
