Thomas Karlsson

Thomas Karlsson has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Thomas started their career as an Actuary at Länsförsäkringar, where they focused on technical underwriting and pricing of reinsurance contracts. Thomas also developed actuarial pricing models and implemented pricing tools. Thomas then joined Skandia as an Actuary before moving on to SiriusPoint. At SiriusPoint, they held various roles including Senior Underwriter/Cat Modeling Expert, Manager Technical Underwriting Unit, and Trading Head Stockholm. In these roles, they were responsible for underwriting and technical risk assessment, reinsurance risk modeling, catastrophe portfolio management, pricing, and development of pricing tools/models.

Thomas Karlsson obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Applied Mathematics from Åbo Akademi University, where they studied from 1989 to 1996.
