Niclas Hannerstig

Niclas Hannerstig has extensive work experience in the legal and compliance field. Niclas is currently working at SiriusPoint as the Head of Legal and Compliance, a role they started in June 2023. Prior to this position, they served as the Interim Chief Compliance Officer from January 2023 to June 2023, and as a Corporate Legal Counsel / DPO from November 2021 to June 2023.

Before joining SiriusPoint, Hannerstig worked at Transcendent Group, where they held the position of Branch Office Manager from January 2020 to November 2021. Niclas also worked as an Associate Lawyer at the same company from January 2019 to November 2021.

In their earlier career, Hannerstig served as a Trademark Attorney at Zacco - 360° Intellectual Property from January 2017 to January 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Jurist at Groth & Co from January 2015 to December 2016.

Additionally, Hannerstig gained experience in U.S. and European trademark, copyright, and IT/data protection law while working as a Foreign Counsel/Consultant in IP Law at Birch, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch, LLP (BSKB) from June 2010 to December 2014.

Furthermore, Hannerstig served as a Board Member at AB A. Svensson & Co from January 2004 to December 2012.

Niclas Hannerstig received their education in the field of law. Niclas first attended Lund University from 2007 to 2012, where they completed their Jurist Kandidatexamen. Following this, they pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Lund University for the same duration. Later, in 2012, Niclas attended the American University Washington College of Law for a year, specializing in Amerikansk juridik, where they obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
