Bart Shappee

Bart Shappee has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Bart started their career at College Pro, where they served as a Senior Franchise Manager from 2004 to 2006. Bart then worked at Pathfinder Solutions MDD as a Senior MDA Engineer, where they took on responsibilities such as mentoring customer projects, developing embedded software, and implementing automated testing strategies. Bart also worked on internal tool development and integration projects during their time at Pathfinder Solutions MDD.

After that, Bart joined Simplified Complexity Llc. as the Owner and Software Consultant from November 2012 to December 2013. Following this, they worked at Bloomberg LP as a Senior Software Engineer from January 2014 to July 2018. During this time, Bart gained expertise in software development and engineering.

Currently, Bart is the Chief Technology Officer at SIRL. As a member of the Executive Team, they collaborate with senior leadership to drive product and company direction. Bart's responsibilities include identifying key pain points for customers and presenting comprehensive solutions. Bart also leads the software and hardware development team at SIRL, focusing on system architecture, testing standards, and workflow optimization. Bart's team consistently delivers high-quality results that exceed expectations and drive business growth.

Prior to becoming the CTO, Bart also held the role of SVP of Engineering at SIRL. In this position, they were responsible for building a team and developing an Indoor Navigation and Analytics product for in-store retail spaces. Bart's team delivered various solutions, including iOS/Android SDKs, a web-based analytics dashboard, an indoor position-based analytics backend, and SIRL's Indoor BLE Satellites.

Bart Shappee obtained a High School Diploma in Science and Engineering from MANALAPAN HIGH SCHOOL in the years 2000 to 2004. Bart then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2004 to 2008. Following this, Bart Shappee furthered their education at Worcester Polytechnic Institute by earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 2009 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Bart Shappee also obtained certifications in various fields. In September 2012, they received a certification in Software Development for Medical Device Manufacturers from Software Quality Consulting. Bart also holds a certification as a Certified Solution Designer - Rhapsody in C++ for the Software Engineer from IBM. Furthermore, Bart Shappee completed a course called "Shaping up with Angular.js" at Code School, although the specific details and completion date for this certification are not provided.
