Marianne Murphy has over 15 years of work experience in marketing. Marianne started their career at Vodafone as a Senior Marketing Executive from September 2002 to December 2004. Marianne then joined BBDO Worldwide as an Account Manager from May 2005 to June 2006, followed by a role at Bank of Ireland as a Marketing Segment Specialist from July 2006 to August 2008. Marianne then worked at Brand Union as an Account Director - Financial Services from September 2008 to May 2009. After that, they joined eir Ireland as a Marketing Project Manager -Consumer Segment from August 2009 to October 2013. Marianne briefly worked at Smurfit Kappa as a Marketing Program Manager from July 2014 to November 2014 before joining SIRO as the Head of Marketing in March 2015 until the present.
Marianne Murphy is currently pursuing a Design Thinking for Sustainability program at University College Dublin since 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Joint Honors Economics and Sociology from University College Cork. Marianne also has additional certifications, including being a finalist in the UCD Nova 2022 Enterprise Competition held by NovaUCD and being recognized as a finalist in the Online Channel Category of the All Ireland Marketing Awards organized by The Marketing Institute of Ireland. Marianne also completed the Junior Achievement Ireland Primary Schools Programme and received the Smartest Website award at the An Post Smart Marketing Awards. Marianne has obtained diplomas in Interior Design from Dún Laoghaire Further Education Institute and in Public Relations from the Fitzwilliam Institute.
