Ulrich Philipps has a diverse range of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Ulrich started their career as a Network Engineer at Nortel Dasa in 1996 and worked there until 1999. Ulrich then joined Vodafone, where they held various roles including Transmission Project Engineer, Tranmission Planning Engineer, and Network Optimisation Engineer. In these positions, they were responsible for planning and expanding the dark fibre and MPLS networks, as well as optimizing network performance and resolving issues. In 2012, they joined Netshare Ireland as a Transmission Implementation Engineer, and later became the Transmission Implementation Manager. During their time there, they planned and implemented the dark fibre network for Dublin, coordinated network expansions, and analyzed network capacity for SRAN technology rollout. Most recently, Ulrich Philipps joined SIRO in 2017 as an FTTH Planning & Design Engineer. In this role, they ensure that FTTH designs are of high quality, cost-effective, and in accordance with specific design guidelines.

Ulrich Philipps attended Fachhochschule Dieburg from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained a degree in Dipl.Ing (FH) Nachrichtentechnik. Their field of study was Telecommunications Technology/Technician.
