Mike Boorman has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current role at Sirona Medical as a UX Writer/UX Researcher since April 2020. In this position, they focus on providing creative and on-brand wording for an innovative Medtech app, as well as conducting user research to support commercial decision-making.
Prior to this, Mike worked as a Writer for The Ransom Note from July 2012 onwards. Mike also held positions at Gridizen as a UX Writer/Web content writer from March to June 2021, and at Comodo as a UX Writer in May and July 2018. Earlier in 2018, they worked at eZLO as a UX Writer from February to April.
From 2015 to 2018, Mike worked as an SEO copywriter for various online and print publications. During this time, they also engaged in blog ghostwriting in various sectors from July 2015 to November 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Ebook writer for theEword in May and June 2017.
Before transitioning into writing roles, Mike owned Pizza King from April 2014 to September 2015. Mike began their career as a Writer at Data Transmission in November 2010 and remained in this role until November 2014.
Mike Boorman's education history is as follows:
In 1994, they attended Sedgefield Community College, where they obtained 8 GCSEs.
From 1999 to 2001, they pursued a BTEC National Diploma in Computer Studies with a grade of Merit from New College Durham.
Mike then enrolled at the Cumbria Institute of the Arts from 2001 to 2004 and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Journalism, achieving a Grade 1st.
In 2004, Mike earned NCTJ accreditation in Media Law, Public Administration, and News Reporting from the Cumbria Institute of the Arts.
In 2006, they attended Learning Tree, where they obtained NVQs in Public Speaking, Relational Database Design, and Microsoft Access.
Mike later pursued additional education in 2017 at Digital Marketer HQ, focusing on Content Marketing, Email Marketing, Sales Funnel, and Social Networking.
In terms of additional certifications, Mike obtained a NCASS Food Safety Level 3 in April 2015.
