Darren Austin is currently an advisor at Sirqul. Prior to that, they were the Director of Product Management for Student-centered Learning at Microsoft from April 2015 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for developing strategy and executing product plans aimed at fostering lasting relationships with students by empowering them to achieve their fullest potential in school and into their careers.

Before joining Microsoft, Darren was the Vice President of Products at Glympse from December 2011 to April 2015. Glympse is the pioneer of real-time, temporary location sharing and develops a consumer app and mobile location platform in use by millions of users globally. During their time at Glympse, the platform was licensed by Mercedes, Verizon, Garmin, Samsung, Blackberry, Kik Messenger, BMW, MINI, Ford, GM, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volkswagen, Volvo. In 2014, Glympse won a Webby Award (People's Voice & Judge's Choice) and was featured on the TODAY Show with Matt Lauer. Additionally, Glympse was featured as the location technology for Warner Music artist Hunter Hayes during a successful Guinness World Record attempt and has received the Google Editor's Choice distinction (2012) and was featured as an Android app at Google I/O (2012, 2014).

Darren Austin has a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Southern University.
