Herman Derache

Managing Director at Sirris | Innovation forward

Herman Derache has a strong background in the technology industry, particularly in the field of industrial-technological innovation. Herman started their career at Sirris in 1990 as a research engineer and technical consultant and eventually became the Managing Director in 2014. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Sirris Vlaanderen. In 2015, they joined Agoria and held various managerial positions, including Manager Industrial Community Agoria-Sirris and Manager Sustainability, Product Compliance & Innovation. Herman also served as the Head of the Center of Expertise Innovation. In addition to their work at these organizations, Derache has held various leadership roles in other industry-related organizations, such as EFFRA, Flanders Make vzw, innovaders belgium, NBN - Bureau voor Normalisatie - Bureau de Normalisation, SIM Strategisch Initiatief Materialen vzw, ICT-KMO vzw, Hoge Raad voor de Normalisatie, and Flanders Inshape - competence center of Antwerp Management School.

Herman Derache studied Mechanical Engineering at KU Leuven from 1984 to 1989, earning an Engineer degree.
