Joanne Manson has a diverse educational background. Joanne started their education at Castlereagh College in 2001, where they pursued AVCE Double award Science until 2004. Joanne then enrolled at Ulster University and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering from 2004 to 2008. In 2006-2007, they also completed a diploma in Industrial Studies at Ulster University.
Following this, Joanne attended Castlereagh college in 2007-2008 and earned a City and Guilds certification in AutoCAD. In 2013-2014, they pursued a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Engineering at South Eastern Regional College.
Continuing their academic journey, Joanne obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nanotechnology/Biomaterials from Ulster University from 2008 to 2012.
In 2019, Joanne enrolled in Queen's University Belfast and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Software Development, set to be completed in 2022.
In terms of additional certifications, Joanne obtained the ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level from BCS in April 2019 and the MTA: HTML5 Application Development Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in June 2018.
