Abhishek Rath

Abhishek Rath has a wide range of work experience in the field of cybersecurity and technology controls. Abhishek is currently the Head of Product Security at Sisense, where they manage all aspects of product security for their SaaS data analytics platform. Abhishek leads a team of Product Security Engineers and works on enhancing product security through various measures such as CSP, RBAC, CSRF protections, and custom scanning logic. Abhishek also has expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Container, CI/CD, and Code Security.

Abhishek is an active member of the cybersecurity community and serves as a Customer Advisory Board Member at both HackerOne and Data Theorem, Inc. Abhishek was also a Chapter Member of the OWASP Foundation.

Prior to their current roles, Abhishek worked as a Vice President of Cybersecurity & Technology Controls at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they focused on threat modeling, solutions architecture, and secure code review. Abhishek ensured that technological risks were properly recognized, measured, communicated, and managed. Abhishek also monitored key risk indicators and assisted with remediation efforts.

Before joining JPMorgan Chase & Co., Abhishek worked as a Senior Security Consultant at both Hewlett Packard Enterprise and HP. Abhishek provided security consulting services and expertise during their time at these companies.

In addition, Abhishek has experience in the education sector as a Computer Distance Education Information Technology Specialist Instructor at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY). Abhishek developed online courses and provided technical support to employees.

Abhishek Rath has an extensive education history. Abhishek obtained their M.S. degree in Information Security from The Johns Hopkins University in the year 2009. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, they pursued their B.Tech degree in Information Technology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Abhishek completed their high school education from Air Force Bal Bharati School, during the period of 1998 to 2002. In high school, they studied subjects such as English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Abhishek Rath has also obtained two certifications. In January 2022, they earned a certification in "Compassionate Directness" from LinkedIn. Abhishek also completed a certification course on "Implementing an Information Security Program" from LinkedIn in the same month and year.
