Jennifer L. Weaver

Jennifer Weaver is the director of infrastructure engineering for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, which has 5,500 employees and serves more than three million members in the state and across the country.

In this role, Jennifer is responsible for the shared infrastructure used across the company including networking, telephony, storage, platform computing, database administration, backup and recovery and the business continuity program.

Jennifer served as the director of the office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) from 2011 until December 2014. The OCIO manages strategy, IS communications, process management and training and periodic leadership reporting. She guided the strategic planning and tactical implementation of internal IS improvement initiatives across the information services division and also chaired the IT Advisory Council.

She began her career at BlueCross in 1997 as a business recovery coordinator, and, following her service as manager of network services, was promoted to director of IT service management.

Jennifer currently serves as the board chair for the Chattanooga Technology Council and has served as a mentor in BlueCross’ corporate mentoring program.

Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in communications from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Science degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
