Michael G. Mathis is Executive Vice President and City President for Regions Bank in Southeast Tennessee, a position he has held since 2007.
Michael graduated with a BA in accounting from Furman University in 1991 and a MBA in finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1993. Michael’s banking career began at Pioneer Bank in 1991, where he served in multiple rolls including Commercial Banker and Commercial Market Manager. Michael joined Regions Bank in 2003 as Commercial Banking Market Manager.
Michael is active in the Chattanooga community and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Foundation. He currently or has previously served on the board of United Way of Greater Chattanooga, Brainerd Baptist School, UTC Chancellor’s Roundtable, UTC Finance Advisory Board, Chattanooga Area Swim League and the McCallie School Alumni Council.
Michael resides in Chattanooga and has been married to his wife Paige for 22 years. Michael and Paige have to two children, McCay and Jackson.
