Analisa Ruiz

Analisa Ruiz is an experienced professional with a strong background in program management, policy development, and legal apprenticeship. Currently serving as Program Director and San Jose Chapter Lead for Sister Warriors Freedom Coalition since November 2019, Analisa also holds the position of Law Apprentice at ESQ APPRENTICE and Vice President at Concrete Rose Coalition. Previous roles include Policy Director, Program Director, Program Manager, and Self Determination Coach at Young Women's Freedom Center, as well as Lead Case Manager and Case Manager at Fresh Lifelines for Youth. Analisa's early career included leadership at Sun Basket as Lead Customer Support Retention Specialist, where skills in customer satisfaction, team performance, and operational efficiency were honed. Analisa holds a Bachelor's degree in Justice Studies/Criminology from San José State University, alongside an Associate of Science in Criminology and an Associate of Arts in Sociology from San Jose City College.

We improve conditions for women and trans people of all genders by fighting for – and winning – policies and systems change that center the needs and experiences of communities most impacted by systems of exploitation, criminalization, and incarceration throughout the state.
