Andrew Thorburn

Andrew Thorburn is an experienced leader in private sector development and investment promotion, currently serving as the C-Suite Adviser at the Suriname Investment & Trade Agency since September 2023. With a career spanning over three decades, Andrew has held significant roles, including Team Leader at Tetra Tech, where a project aimed at creating jobs and improving incomes in Nigeria was managed. As Chairman of Thorburn Associates Ltd, Andrew focused on investment promotion and project management across sub-Saharan Africa. Previous positions include Team Leader roles at IPE Global Limited and WAVTEQ, where Andrew supported significant infrastructure development and foreign direct investment initiatives, respectively. Andrew's educational background includes an MBA in Marketing from the University of Michigan and a BSC in International Business from American University.
