Nilson Ferreira

Nilson Ferreira has over 14 years of work experience in various roles in the IT industry. Nilson currently works at SITA as a Senior Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, where their responsibilities include leading the K8s engineering strategy, designing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters, and automating manual operations. Prior to this, Nilson worked as a Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer and a DevOps Engineer at SITA, where they focused on trailblazing innovation and automation in cloud platforms and driving improvement in DevOps practices. Before joining SITA, they worked at Tagprinter as a Consultant, where they designed and implemented Information Management policies and tools. Nilson also worked at Accenture as a Senior System Analyst and System Analyst, where they delivered an Enterprise Content Management System and provided training and maintenance support for the ECM environment. Nilson began their IT career at Xerox as a Junior System Analyst and completed an internship there before transitioning to a permanent role.

Nilson Ferreira obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Information Systems from Universidade Vila Velha - UVV, graduating in 2008. Nilson has also earned several certifications, including CKS: Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Certified ScrumMaster®, ITIL 4 Foundation, Dante Certification Levels 1, 2, and 3, ITIL 3 Foundation, IELTS (International English Language Testing System), CDIA+, and HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate.
