John Thirkell

John Thirkell is currently the Senior Vice President of Leasing at SITE Centers. John has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, specializing in retail leasing.

From 1997 to 2014, John worked for PREIT, a Pennsylvania-based real estate investment trust. There, they served as Senior Real Estate Leasing Agent, overseeing the leasing of enclosed shopping centers to national and local retailers, as well as non-traditional retail uses such as fitness centers and educational facilities. John was responsible for extensive negotiations with national retailers.

In 2014, John left PREIT to join Equity One, Inc. as Director of Leasing. There they oversaw leasing of shopping centers throughout Florida, Louisiana, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Long Island, New York City, and New Jersey.

In March 2017, John Thirkell joined Regency Centers as Senior Leasing Agent. John remained in this position until April 2018 when they took their current role at SITE Centers.

John Thirkell graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration and Management.
