Mark Stone

Mark Stone, PhD has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Mark is currently working as a Senior Agile Delivery Lead at Siteimprove. Prior to this, they worked at DataStax as a Product Manager, where they focused on enabling developers and enterprises to connect to the power of Apache Cassandra. Before that, Mark held the position of Director of Engineering Program Management at Etsy, where they successfully led the cloud migration and agile transformation initiatives. Mark also worked as a Senior Program Manager at The Walt Disney Company, leading the cloud migration effort. Mark has experience in project and program management roles at Kforce, Nike, Apptio, Populus Group, and Mactus Group. In these positions, they worked on various projects involving cloud computing, open source communities, and software product development. Mark also served as an Executive Producer at Wizards of the Coast, where they worked on their digital gaming initiative. With their diverse background and expertise, Mark has been a valuable asset to the companies they have worked for.

Mark Stone, PhD, received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from the University of Maryland in 1982. Mark then pursued further education and completed their PhD in Philosophy at the University of Rochester from 1982 to 1987. Before their undergraduate studies, Mark attended the University of Delaware from 1977 to 1980. In addition to their academic qualifications, Mark also holds certifications as a Certified Scrum Master and a Certified Scrum Product Owner from the Scrum Alliance, obtained in 2013.
