Simon Rothen

Simon Rothen is an experienced leader in the field of translational medicine and biotechnology, currently serving as the CEO of sitem-insel AG since 2018, where the focus is on developing a National Center of Excellence for Translational Medicine in Switzerland. Simon also holds the position of Owner and CEO at sartec GmbH since 1998. Previous roles include CEO positions at Mouvent AG, Genesupport SA, and mcl Medizinische Laboratorien AG, as well as Chief Operations Officer at Crucell NV and Berna Biotech AG. Simon's academic credentials include a Dr. sc. nat. ETH in Bioverfahrenstechnik and a Dipl. Natw. ETH in Biotechnology from ETH Zürich, complemented by further education at London Business School.
