Karimah Es Sabar

Karimah Es Sabar is a board member at Sitka Biopharma and a leading figure in the life science industry. Karimah has over 15 years of experience in the field, including their time as president of LifeSciences BC and as president and CEO of The Centre for Drug Research and Development.

Under their leadership, LifeSciences BC flourished as a strong business development organization for the life science industry and the scientific research community. Karimah also helped CDRD secure new public and private sector funding, expand its partnerships internationally, and establish itself as one of the world’s top pre-clinical translational research and commercialization centres.

Karimah is a passionate advocate for the life science industry, and their work has helped make British Columbia a hub for research and innovation. Karimah is dedicated to supporting the next generation of life science leaders, and they sit on the board of directors for several organizations, including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Foundation and the Vancouver Economic Commission.

Karimah Es Sabar has an executive certificate in management and leadership from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Karimah also has a master's degree in neurochemistry from the University of London. Karimah has a joint honours BSc in biochemistry/chemistry from the University of Salford.
