Jody Stephenson

Jody Stephenson has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Jody is the CEO and Founder of SitterTree, a child care app that connects parents with vetted child care providers. Their responsibilities at SitterTree include driving strategy, culture, hiring, and product development.

Before founding SitterTree, Jody served as the Executive Director of The Rockdale Foundation. In this role, they were responsible for the strategic direction of the foundation's domestic and international grant making. Jody worked with local leaders to implement solutions for children and youth, and supported their organizations through capacity building opportunities.

Additionally, Jody founded The Dress Project, where they sold bridal and formal gowns to support educational expenses for girls. Jody believed that these dresses could provide a second life to another wearer while offering young African girls the opportunity to complete secondary school and have a choice in their future.

Jody has also worked as a Consultant for The Rockdale Foundation, researching and advising the board of directors on strategic diversification in the international education sector, particularly in the Arab World. Jody evaluated potential partnerships with non-governmental organizations in Egypt and Morocco.

Lastly, Jody's career began as the Creator of Go Shop, a marketing tool/game centered on the fashion industry. The game was initially created for an eighth-grade school project and later professionally designed, printed, and distributed in boutiques across 20 states.
