Daiji Hirata

Daiji Hirata has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Daiji worked at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation as an Engineer from 1996 to 1999, where they focused on protocol development and multimedia system design. Daiji later joined Neoteny in 1999 and served as Chief Research Manager and Advisor until 2015.

In 2003, they became a Board Member at BeatCraft, a software development company specializing in multimedia embedded solutions. Daiji held this position until 2018.

Hirata also had a significant tenure at Six Apart, joining in 2004 as a Corporate Officer and eventually becoming Director and CTO. Daiji worked at Six Apart until 2016 in various roles, including VP of Technology and Advisor.

Additionally, Hirata held roles at Neoteny Venture Development Co., Ltd., Skyarc System, penees Inc., and News2u Corporation, where they served as CTO and Director. Daiji was also on the Board of Directors at Farmnote Holdings and Japan Society for Corporate Communication Studies, where they held the position of Director.

Daiji Hirata completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Osaka University in the period from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field at Osaka University and successfully completed it from 1994 to 1996.
