James Danielson

James Danielson is a Software Engineer with Six Nines IT since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at NIKSUN from 2020 to 2021. From 2017 to 2019, they were the Technology Partner & Founder at Pine River Mining & Farming LLC, where they built a miniature data center from an old hunting shack and developed a custom multithreaded system using Python, PyQT, C, and Arduinos for managing and monitoring temperature, humidity, and all the mining equipment. During 2019, they were a Teacher at Honor North-America Education, where they developed curricula and taught both Western Music History & Introductory Computer Programming with Python. From 2016 to 2014, they were a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft, working in the operating systems group (OSG) security active defense team doing a combination of research on vulnerabilities and developing systems or tools (Mostly C++, some C#) to mitigate them. James was also a Software Development Engineer Intern at Microsoft in 2014. From 2013 to 2012, they were a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, doing small tasks and research with the network and security research group (NSRG) on python based software binary analysis in an attempt to protect computers from malware. In 2013, they were a Software Development Engineer Intern at Microsoft, working on application frameworks for Windows Phone. In 2012, they were an EECS 101 IA at the University of Michigan, helping teach basic Computer Science concepts to students with no prior programming experience. James was also an Application Developer Intern at J.P. Morgan in 2012, working in Treasury & Securities Services on a web based application (Spring Framework) for entitlement management.

James Danielson attended the University of Michigan from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Computer Science.
