Dave Veale

Dave Veale has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity, with a focus on offensive cyber operations. Dave is currently working as a Senior Offensive Cyber Operator at SIXGEN since February 2023. Prior to that, they were a Security Engineer at Amazon from June 2022 to February 2023. Before joining Amazon, Dave worked as a Senior Offensive Cyber Operator at SIXGEN from November 2020 to June 2022. Dave also gained experience as a Cyber Threat Emulation Engineer and Lead Technologist at Booz Allen Hamilton from April 2019 to October 2020.

Dave's career in cybersecurity began in 2009 when they joined the Army National Guard as a Cyber Operations Specialist and All-Source Intelligence Analyst. Dave served in this role for over ten years until June 2020. In the private sector, they worked as a Senior Associate in Industrial Security for L3Harris Technologies from August 2016 to April 2019. Additionally, they served as a Cyber Program Manager in the US Army from March 2018 to March 2019.

Early in their career, Dave gained experience as a Records Clerk III at The Rehancement Group, Inc. from September 2015 to August 2016, and as a Research Analyst at Millican & Associates, Inc. from June 2014 to August 2015.

Dave Veale completed their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Intelligence Operations Studies at Cochise College in 2015. From 2016 to 2019, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cybersecurity at American Military University. Following their formal education, Dave obtained various certifications in the field of cybersecurity. In 2017, they obtained CompTIA Security+ certification. In 2018, they obtained Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council. In 2019, Dave achieved both GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) and CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certifications. Dave also obtained GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certification in the same year. In 2020, they obtained Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification. In 2021, Dave achieved CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) certification. Dave'smost recent certifications include Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO) obtained in 2022 and Certified Red Team Lead (CRTL) obtained in 2023, both from Zero-Point Security Ltd.
