Joshua Leewarner has over twenty years of experience in the information security industry. In 1997, they began their career as a Systems Engineer at Polaris Consulting Group. Joshua then moved on to SRI International in 2000 as a Senior Technologist, followed by a Senior Consultant role at Deloitte in 2002. In 2004, they became a Principal Consultant at Symantec, and in 2006, they were a Lead Research Analyst at BAE Systems IT. In 2011, they were the Director of Services, EMEA at IOActive, Inc., and in 2016, they became the Office of the CTO, Middle East at Secureworks. In 2021, they founded and became the Principal Advisor at Fretwork Security Advisors, and in 2022, they took on the role of Executive Cybersecurity Consultant at SIXGEN.

Joshua Leewarner has a comprehensive education history. In 2020, they obtained a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA and an Oxford Executive Leadership Programme from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. From 2016 to 2020, they pursued a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Operations & Leadership at the University of San Diego. In 2010, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Computer Security from Stanford University. Finally, they completed a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Seattle Pacific University between 1996 and 2000.
