Senior Cyber Security Engineer at Sixgen

Tony Kirkland has worked in the cyber security field since 2013. Tony began their career in the US Army, serving in a variety of roles, including Cyber Student/Assistant Instructor - Transition to Cyber, Information Management Officer, Company Executive Officer, and Expeditionary Signal Platoon Leader/Training Officer. In 2019, they returned to the US Army as a Cyber Security Professional and Graduate Student, and later as a Cyber Network Defender Lead (Support Element). In 2021, they joined SIXGEN as a Cyber Security Engineer.

Tony Kirkland completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2013. Tony then obtained various certifications such as CompTIA Network+ ce and CompTIA Security+ ce in 2016, GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst and GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) in 2018, Certified Red Team Professional (CRTP) and Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) in 2020, and Certified Red Team Operator in 2022. In 2019, Tony began their Master's Degree in Cybersecurity - Information Security at the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
