James Branter

James Branter is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as Vice President at Sixth Street, focusing on European Real Estate Asset Management since July 2023. Previously, James held various roles, including Private Credit, ABS, and Special Situations at The D. E. Shaw Group from July 2019 to July 2023, and Non-Performing Loans & Real Estate Associate at Cerberus Capital Management from September 2015 to July 2019. James began the career at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where responsibilities included Fixed Income Research Analyst and Market Risk Analyst from April 2013 to August 2015. Earlier experience includes a position as Index Research Analyst at ITG and a brief internship at the Investment Banking Institute. James earned a BSc in Economics from the University of York and completed A-levels in Economics, Maths, and French at Whitgift School.
