Matt Parsons

Matt Parsons, PE, PMP, currently serves as Principal at Sixth Street since March 2021 and previously held roles as Principal and Vice President at Blackstone from September 2018 to March 2021. Prior experience includes serving as Subsurface Lead and Senior Staff Reservoir Engineer at Hunt Oil Company, where responsibilities encompassed leading reservoir engineering teams and overseeing economic evaluations in the Permian Basin and Deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Matt also contributed to projects at ConocoPhillips in various capacities, including Senior Reservoir Engineer and Senior Project Development Engineer, managing significant capital projects and global reservoir engineering initiatives. Educational qualifications include an M.B.A. from Texas McCombs School of Business, a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
