Ronald Handford is the Vice President, Corporate Development and Corporate Secretary at Sixty North Gold Mining. Ronald has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry, with a focus on corporate development and finance.

Handford began their career in the mining industry in August 2005 as the Executive Vice President, Corporate Development for Yellowhead Mining Inc. In this role, they were responsible for global Strategic Partnering search; Project and Corporate Finance; Investor, Media and Government Relations; and Social Media.

In 2010, Handford assisted with completing a reverse-take-over (RTO) of a CPC shell company in order to achieve a TSX Venture listing. Ronald also assisted with the company's graduation to the TSX in 2012. Throughout their time at Yellowhead Mining Inc., Handford also helped to arrange various financing deals, including a pre-RTO raise of $8 million, a $25 million bought deal financing, a $7.4 million private placement, and an $8 million private equity financing.

In 2013, Handford coordinated a global strategic partnering and project financing process with Evercore Partners of New York. The objective of this process was to raise close to $1 billion in capital cost, working capital, and overrun facilities. As part of this process, they established and developed relationships with potential strategic investors in the mining, smelting, and trading areas, plus private and state equity funds and banks in Asia, Europe, and North America for project finance, off-take, investment, and development participation.

In addition to their work with Evercore Partners, Handford also arranged and conducted road shows with key investment banks and investor relations consultants targeting institutional shareholders in Europe and North America. Ronald also initiated an investor relations program targeting retail brokers and individual investors, which included road shows across Canada and key US cities. Finally, they conducted an active trade and investment show program, which included London, Tianjin, Beijing, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Toronto, and Vancouver conferences.

Ronald Handford has an MBA in Finance and International Business from the Ivey Business School at Western University, a BASc in Civil Engineering from The University of British Columbia, and is certified by The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC as a Professional Engineer (Non-Practicing).
