Matthew Castle

Matthew Castle is an experienced radiation protection and nuclear liabilities manager currently working at Sizewell C since October 2022. Previously, Matthew held key roles at the Environment Agency as a senior nuclear regulator from July 2019 to October 2022 and at Horizon Nuclear Power as head of radiation protection and environment, as well as head of environment and waste between July 2014 and March 2019. Matthew's career began at BNFL as a health physics and safety adviser, followed by various positions at Magnox Ltd and MAGNOX SOUTH LIMITED, including head of profession environment and head of environment. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics and Geology from Keele University, completed in 1997.
