Begoña Nafría Escalera

Begoña Nafría Escalera is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in patient engagement and coordination within the healthcare and research sectors. Currently serving as the Coordinator of eYPAGnet at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona since January 2015, Begoña leads initiatives to empower young patients through European advisory networks. As Patient Engagement in Research Coordinator, responsibilities include managing the "Rare Commons" platform to enhance research in rare diseases. In addition to serving as a Patient Expert Reviewer for the Research Involvement and Engagement Journal since July 2017, Begoña has held various roles in project management and social network consulting at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya from June 2010, contributing to online education and community engagement for health-related projects.
