Joel Smith

Joel Smith serves as Infrastrukturdirektör at Sjöfartsverket since November 2018. Previously, Joel held various management positions at Vopak from November 2013 to November 2018, including Operations Manager for the Province of Quebec, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing the safe operation of three oil and chemical storage terminals, ensuring compliance with laws, and leading efficient staff management. Notably, Joel also worked as Senior Operations Manager at the Port of Gothenburg Oil Harbour, managing operations in Scandinavia's largest oil and gas port, and held various officer roles with Gorthon Lines, Transatlantic, and Finnlines. Joel's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from Chalmers University of Technology.
