Christina Joseph Robinson

Christina Joseph Robinson's work experience begins in 1995 as a Graduate Teaching Assistantship at Syracuse University, where they conducted workshops on editing, video cameras, and lighting. Christina then worked as an Associate Producer at the United Negro College Fund, assisting with the production of a telethon and scriptwriting. In 1996, they were an Education Reporter for The Montclair Times, covering education stories in the Montclair area. Christina later worked at The Jersey Journal as an Assistant City Editor, editing reporters' stories, developing story ideas, and producing the daybook. Christina also served as a Staff Writer/Assignment Editor at The Jersey Journal, covering education and providing extensive coverage of contract negotiations and teachers' strikes. At The Record, North Jersey Media Group, they held multiple roles including Staff Writer, Assignment Editor, and Entertainment Editor, overseeing entertainment coverage and managing a team of writers and freelancers. Christina then became an Instructor at The School of The New York Times, teaching a journalism enrichment course and facilitating lectures and practicum sessions. Christina joined Montclair State University as an Adjunct Professor in 2018. Currently, they are the Deputy Executive Editorial Director at SJR, leading digital strategy and content editing for various clients with a focus on healthcare innovation, pharma, emerging technologies, automotive, and business. Christina also serves as the Chair of the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Christina Joseph Robinson completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Spelman College from 1990 to 1994. Christina then pursued further education and enrolled at Syracuse University in 1995, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism.
