Puneet Chauhan

Puneet Chauhan has extensive work experience in the field of ASIC verification and engineering. Puneet began their career with Transwitch Corp. in 1999, where they led the full chip verification and validation process for SOC ASICs related to ADSL/VDSL and VLAN networking. Puneet also introduced Specman e to the verification teams.

Following their time at Transwitch Corp., Puneet worked at IDT as a Senior Staff Engineer, leading the verification and validation efforts. Puneet then joined Emulex Corporation as a Principal Engineer and Verification Lead.

In 2008, they became the ASIC Verification Manager at Tzero Technologies, where they focused on verifying the PHY and MAC subsystems of an Ultra-Wideband wireless modem. Puneet also designed testbenches using OVM for the UWB MAC subsystem.

Puneet then moved on to Nethra Imaging, where they served as an ASIC Verification Manager. Here, they led a team of engineers in the verification of a video processing chipset with various SOC interfaces. Puneet successfully introduced the OVM verification methodology to the team and collaborated with Cadence to integrate the OVM testbench with the Palladium hardware acceleration platform.

In 2011, Puneet joined FutureWei Technologies as an ESL Performance Modeling Principal Engineer, where they were involved in ESL modeling for multicore SOC and performance modeling of a multi-layered multiway associative L3 Cache Memory System.

Puneet later worked at Altera Corp. as a Verification Lead/Architect, focusing on cable modem upstream PHY ASIC. Puneet delivered an end-to-end upstream golden model in Matlab for vector comparison and verified the FEC block and fullchip.

Currently, Puneet is working as a Sr. Principal Verification Engineer at SK hynix memory solutions inc., where they organize training for the SOC DV team and verifies microcontrollers for flash-based storage. Puneet has also worked on flash data path with LDPC encoder/decoders.

Puneet Chauhan has a High School Diploma in Science and Mathematics from Kendriya Vidyalaya. After that, Puneet attended Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, where they pursued their B.Tech degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering. Furthermore, Puneet also holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Digital Communications and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) from Queen's University.
