Douglas Britt

Douglas Britt has over 40 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Douglas started their career in 1979 as a Sales Representative at Stuart Pharmaceuticals, where they were responsible for sales and market development of Nolvadex in the central Chicago territory. Douglas was also responsible for hospital sales for the entire Stuart line in four high-volume teaching hospitals. In 1983, they became a Regional Recruiter, recruiting new sales representatives for a 7-state sales region and also serving as a Regional Trainer.

In 1987, Douglas joined Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals as an Oncology Biotech Sales Representative. Douglas quickly progressed through various roles, including District Manager for the Great Lakes region, where they were responsible for sales, training, and staffing. Douglas then became an Oncology Biotech District Manager for Southern California, leading twelve representatives in developing and implementing sales strategies for market expansion in the emerging biotech marketplace.

Douglas's career at Schering-Plough Pharmaceuticals continued to advance, and they ultimately became the Regional Director of US Managed Markets. In this role, their responsibilities included leading the Western Managed Markets team, managing a 15-product portfolio for accounts in California and Hawaii. Douglas successfully negotiated $125 million in direct contracts, implemented customer-focused quality improvement programs, and designed and implemented successful product pull-through programs. Douglas also created the Salud a la Mano Latino Marketing program and was recognized for the achievements of their direct reports with nominations and awards.

In 2010, Douglas joined UCB as a National Account Executive, responsible for managing overall accounts, including HMOs, GPOs, PBMs, and medical groups. Douglas developed strategic account plans, coordinated Disease Management Programs, and received multiple awards for their exceptional performance.

Most recently, in 2019, Douglas joined SK Life Science, Inc. as a Corporate Account Director, where they are currently managing corporate accounts.

Douglas Britt attended Westminster University from 1973 to 1978, during which they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. Douglas'sfield of study encompassed Biology, Chemistry, and Philosophy.
