Joshua McLaughlin

Joshua McLaughlin has extensive work experience in the legal and compliance field. Joshua is currently serving as the Head of Legal and Compliance at SK Life Science, Inc., where they oversee all legal and compliance matters for the US-pharmaceutical division. Prior to this, McLaughlin worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb for several years in various leadership roles. Joshua held positions such as Vice President, Head of Commercial Law and Compliance for European Markets, Australia, and Canada, Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, R&D Law, and Assistant General Counsel - Regulatory/Global Commercialization. Before joining Bristol-Myers Squibb, McLaughlin worked at Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Director of the patent department, handling negotiations and drafting transactional agreements. Joshua also previously worked as a Patent Attorney at The Burnham Institute. Throughout their career, McLaughlin has demonstrated strong expertise in handling legal matters related to corporate and business development, intellectual property, litigation management, contracts, regulatory affairs, and compliance.

Joshua McLaughlin's education history begins with their attendance at Palm Desert High School from 1987 to 1991. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Physiology & Neuroscience at UC San Diego from 1991 to 1995. Joshua then furthered their education by attending Thomas Jefferson School of Law from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained their Juris Doctorate degree with honors (Cum Laude) in Law. Following this, they enrolled at the University of San Diego in 2001 and completed their LL.M. degree in Intellectual Property in 2002.
