Filipe Areno

Filipe Areno is a Partner in the Corporate Finance/M&A practice at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates, a position held since August 2006. Notable representations include advising Banco BTG Pactual during its US$2 billion initial public offering, recognized as Deal of the Year by IFLR, along with subsequent follow-on offerings exceeding US$6 billion, and serving the underwriters in Raízen's US$1.2 billion initial public offering. Prior experience includes roles as Counsel and Associate at A&O Shearman from October 2003 to June 2006. Filipe Areno holds an LLM in Business from the University of Chicago Law School (2002-2003) and a Law degree from USP - Universidade de São Paulo (1996-2000).
