Gerard Hardeman is a seasoned professional in the organic baking industry with a diverse background spanning several roles and organizations. Since November 2019, Gerard serves as a member of the Advisory Board for Skal Biocontrole, while maintaining a long-standing position as co-owner of Gerard & Suus, a 100% organic bakery established in 1996. Gerard also focuses on gluten-free baking through a dedicated initiative launched in June 2019, producing a variety of gluten-free breads and treats. As a co-founder and instructor at Dutch Organic Baking School since May 2018, Gerard emphasizes simple, quality ingredients in artisan baking. Additionally, Gerard is involved in community support as a co-initiator for Steunstichting DAM and offers consultancy services to fellow bakers from Bakkerij Hardeman V.O.F. Gerard held the position of treasurer at Stichting EKO from 2017 until December 2022 and was also a treasurer for BioWinkelVereniging from 2012 to October 2018. Notably, in 2012, Gerard was awarded the Millennium Entrepreneurs Prize by the Municipality of Aalburg for excellence in sustainable business practices.
