Vytenis Sakalas

Vytenis Sakalas has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Vytenis started their career as a Technical Support Engineer at Teltonika, where they provided international technical sales support and participated in product development. Vytenis then became the Head of IS Projects Group at Teamgate, responsible for research and development of an ERP system platform.

After that, they worked at EY as a Senior Consultant in IT Risk and Assurance Advisory, where they managed projects, participated in business development, and provided IT governance advisory services. Vytenis also worked as an Assistant Manager in IT and Digital Advisory at EY.

Vytenis Sakalas also played key roles at Microsoft as an Enterprise Account Executive and at Vilniaus universitetas/Vilnius University as a Lecturer for the study programme "Information Systems and Cyber Security". Vytenis lectured on information system security and prepared professionals in the field.

At SKAYLINK (former BTT Cloud), Vytenis Sakalas held multiple roles. Vytenis started as the Head of the Cloud Division, responsible for strategic governance and managing teams of Cloud Architects, DevOps Engineers, Sales, and Project Delivery. Vytenis later became the Head of Sales, where they shaped the sales organization and developed plans and strategies for the Managed Service Provider (MSP) business.

Currently, Vytenis Sakalas works at Skaylink as the Business Development Circle Lead in the Managed Services Practice. However, no specific start or end dates are provided for this role.

Vytenis Sakalas obtained a Master's Degree in Telecommunications Physics and Electronics from Vilnius University from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's Degree in the same field from Vilnius University from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Vytenis has obtained various certifications, including AWS Partner: Generative AI Essentials (Business) from Amazon Web Services, Microsoft certifications in Azure AI Fundamentals, Azure Data Fundamentals, and Azure Fundamentals, as well as certifications in IT governance, agile project management, and being recognized as a Microsoft Global Challenger.
