William Whitmire

William Whitmire is a seasoned public affairs professional with extensive experience in communications and legislative roles. Currently serving as Vice President and previously as Director of Public Affairs at SKDK since September 2021, William has also held key positions such as Deputy Communications Director at Patriotic Millionaires and Communications Coordinator at the Human Rights Campaign. Other notable experiences include serving as Communications Director for a Florida State Senate Campaign, Legislative Assistant for The Florida Senate, and a Legislative Intern for Congressman Al Lawson in the U.S. House of Representatives. William's career began with an Emerging Leader role at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation and an internship in Al Lawson's congressional campaign. William holds a Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University.
