Rose Yan is a highly experienced scientist with a demonstrated history of leading research and development projects at SKF Group since July 2014, focusing on bearing steel research and technical management. Prior to this, Rose held roles as a Senior Researcher, conducting industrial research on physical metallurgy and project management, and at the University of Cambridge as a Research Associate, concentrating on improving novel pipeline steels. Additional experience includes consulting on failure analysis and welding technology, and serving as a Research Assistant at City University of Hong Kong. Rose obtained a PhD in Materials Science and Metallurgy from the University of Cambridge, enriching the expertise in advanced materials processing through a brief role as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Oxford.
