Dean Adamopoulos has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dean is currently the Co-Founder & President of Skie.io, a company focused on optimizing the cloud and promoting environmental sustainability. Prior to this, Dean served as a Board Member and then CEO of Protera, a role they held from 2007 to 2021. At Protera, they successfully contributed to the company's growth and strategic direction. Before that, Dean worked at IBM as a Director, where they were responsible for strategic direction, marketing, and hosting products development. Dean also represented Applications on Demand with SAP, rolling out CRM on Demand and SaaS applications for SMB. Prior to their time at IBM, Dean was the Senior Vice President of Corio, a company that was later acquired by IBM. Preceding their tenure at Corio, Dean was the Founder and CEO of Nexus Technology, an SAP-centric organization providing technical implementation and application management solutions to Fortune 1000 companies in the USA. Nexus had a global presence with offices in China and India and served as Sprint's strategic partner for SAP Hosting. Dean's career began at Motorola, where they implemented IT solutions for the IBM mainframe and client server environments and installed Oracle Financials. Dean Adamopoulos earned their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Northeastern Illinois University from 1983 to 1986. Dean then pursued their Master's Degree in Management of Information Technology from DePaul University, where they studied from 1986 to 1991.
