Mette Gundersen

Mette Gundersen has over two decades of experience in urban development and planning. Currently serving as Utviklingssjef for Skien kommune since June 2011, Mette leads a team focused on community planning, land use, business development, environmental initiatives, and transportation. Previously, Mette was a Project Leader for a collaborative initiative aimed at enhancing the attractiveness of Skien's city center. Mette held the position of Kontorleder at Asplan Viak AS, overseeing approximately 40 employees in fields such as construction, water and environmental management, and urban planning. Mette began a career in urban planning as a By- og arealplanlegger for Narvik kommune from 1994 to 1999 and holds a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
