Danae Hughes

Danae Hughes is the Area Partnership Manager at Skill Struck. Danae has previously worked as the Sr. Director of Outreach and Diversity for Girl Scouts Heart of the South and as the Outreach & Diversity Manager for Girl Scouts Heart of the South. Danae has also worked as a Membership Team Lead for Girl Scouts of Central Texas.

Danae has dedicated their career to working with underserved girls and communities. Danae has led workshops on "Dealing with Injustice" and community pride for underserved areas. Danae has also created short-term and long-term goals for DEI efforts for councils.

Danae is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Danae has served as a keynote speaker on diversity 101 and personal branding. Danae has also served on women in leadership panels. Danae is committed to creating a pipeline of diverse talent from colleges to Girl Scouts.

Danae Hughes completed their BA in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Danae also holds a certification from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate. Additionally, Danae has a certification from Austin Community College in Volunteer Management and from The University of Texas at Austin in SHRM Essentials of Human Resources Management.
