Paulette Higgins

Paulette Higgins has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Paulette started their career in 2004 with Newtrends International Corporation in a business development role. Paulette then joined Haward Technology Middle East, where they held multiple positions including Training Coordinator, Senior Quality & Business Development Manager, Senior Planning & Contracts Manager, Senior Training Manager, Dy. General Manager of Operations, and Academic Director. During their time at Haward Technology, Paulette played a key role in expanding the company's program offerings, opening international offices, and implementing alternative delivery models. Paulette also worked at Haward Technology as an API Q1 Specification Trainer & Facilitator. Paulette later joined Beedie School of Business at SFU as the Manager of Corporate Engagement and Program Manager for Mentors in Business. Paulette then worked as a Consultant at Bear Claw Industries Inc. In 2015, Paulette also joined Haward Technology as an Instructor. Paulette's most recent roles include serving as the Director of Training Investment, Standards & Delivery at SkilledTradesBC, a member of the Steering Committee for the CleanBC Labour Readiness Plan, Project Sponsor for the Innovation Framework in Trades Training & Apprenticeship at the Industry Training Authority BC, and a member of the Data Review and Labour Supply Advisory Committee at the Major Projects Workforce Development Advisory Group.

Paulette Higgins obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Santo Tomas from 1998 to 2002. Paulette later pursued a Master of Management degree in Business Management at the University of the Philippines from 2004 to 2005. Additionally, Paulette has attained certifications such as API Q1 Trainer from the API - American Petroleum Institute, Certified Assessor from The Institute of Leadership & Management, Certified EHS Practitioner from Abu Dhabi Environmental Health & Safety Authority (Qudorat), GBA+ from the Government of BC, and IRCA Certified Auditor from Bureau Veritas Group.
